Feedback regarding quality of food
The desserts and appetizers were great, however, some dishes from the main menu was rather disappointing. What I assume to be mashed potatoes served with the duck confit was bland and starchy, it did not taste like mashed potatoes at all. The scallops had a strange taste and texture. The texture was not rubbery but rather reminded me of processed seafood. The lamb was bland, lacking both in salt as well as any lamb flavor. The meat had a "wet", mushy texture, making the entire dish very unappealing. The foie gras was under seasoned and under cooked. A good sear on the outside to crisp the surface would provide good textural contrast between the outside and creamy interior. The foie gras I had had a grayish appearance and was still slightly raw and bloody within.
A few dishes may have missed the mark, but I absolutely enjoyed my brunch here at Saveur. Service and ambiance was excellent. I hope that you would consider my feedback regarding the dishes and am looking forward to when the next brunch buffet is available!
brunch on 20th march
First the restuarant open late. We have to wait for half hour to start our brunch.
Food is not very fantatisic.
Thou we have a menu of items we suppose to have. Some items was not served to us. E.g. lamb confit
While we asked for it 2x fr the server . It took so long ..and no one update us of lamb is still undergoing chef construction or it is not available?? We only asked for 1 serving to try since it is our first time at saveur art.
Cut story short the lamb confit never came.
Overall service level is so-so. Could have been better. I have to request for my coffee 2x from two staffs and i have to make my last request with a lady (hostess i think) who served my coffee and shared that the part time staff didnt know how to operate the coffee machine.
Now restaurant open late. We patiencely waited. Accepted the apology and be understanding that your kitchen pipe broke . Then i have to be understanding that your part tine staff or chef is new too?
My first experience at saveur art def not as good at saveur liang seah. So why wld a consumer want pay more to dine at ion?

Limited choices last Sunday. Dun like the choices. Only like the duck and chicken.
Dun like the concept of servers bringing out individual little platters of food around. They always bypass our table though not once but many times. It is like we were invisible.
When reordering cannot custom the dishes like for example beef to be more well done, scallops cook well, etc.
It is like take it or leave it.
Having said this, service from one or two of your servers were really good esp the intern.
They were prompt, friendly, patient.
Will I go back again....No.
Will I recommend to my friends.....No.
Unsatisfactory serving
Hi there
Today, on 16 Jan 2016, together with my family members, we arrived on time at the starting hour at 3pm for the high tea (3 tiers treats).
Our patries wasn't served on the tiered stand as your staff claimed they were having shortage on the tier stand. For your information, our 2 sets of high tea were pre-booked and i even called down to double confirm my sets n reservation. I do not see the reasons why we are paying the same as other diners yet having substandard serving. Furthermore, our patries were served less from what we see from other people's tiers near us. I checkes with one of your staffs if our food came completed and the replied was yes untill i highlight to her we did not see fruit tarts in ours as compare to wat other were having in their tiers.
This is my first time dinning in there and was such disappointing.
I hope to have a favorable reply.
High tea experience
Nice ambience
Service standard is good
Food presentation needs improvement
Spread of high tea is rather disappointing perhaps can be more varied
Scones served are dry and fell apart when it was cut apart
Tea-time service system needs to be improved
Hi there,
I recently went for tea with 3 friends and had a poor experience. Some reached at 3pm and ordered 2 tea sets and 3 drink items. As of 4pm, only 1 tea set had arrived and none of the drinks. The waiter serving us repeatedly told us that the kitchen was busy or it was being prepared, as we watched the staff having their lunch in front of us. While we understand that they need their lunch, we also think that we should not be waiting an hour for a tea set that doesn't take too much effort to prepare, or for 2 pots of tea and a cup of coffee, especially in a relatively quiet period for the shop and our repeated reminders for a simple order.
We think our orders were probably forgotten, and are quite unhappy that our waiter did not rectify the situation when we kept asking for our orders, and just told us it was on its way when it clearly was not.
Eventually after many requests, we canceled our 2nd tea set which we did not want to wait for any longer and received 2/3 ordered drinks, with no one asking us which 2 we would like. The unsatisfactory reason told to us for the late drinks was the lack of teapots, though that does not explain why the coffee couldn't come either.
The manager kindly expedited our drinks at the end and waived our bill for the bad experience, but I still think that there is a problem at teatime with the service system, and that needs to be resolved. We will not be patronizing again.
Feedback for Saveur Concetto
Pollo allo could do without the stuffed mushroom as it overpowers the taste of chicken. Good to have something sourish to go with this dish. Seafood soup too watery. Duck Confit, prawn linguine, Concetto pasta, pistachio Panna cotta are excellent.
Feedback for Xmas Eve Dinner
Service was excellent except a little hold up in the beginning. We were told dinner will start at 6 pm but our orders were only taken at 6.20 pm.
Food wise - all the appetisers and entrees were good. The chocolate dessert was a little too heavy and sweet in terms of its taste to end the meal.
Amazing meal
We loved the food! It was an amazing meal with such professional staff. We couldn't have asked for more, and will definitely be back. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
Sunday Brunch (29 Nov)
Mains that requires using knife to cut should be serve on plate, not bowl.
Bouillabaisse can be serve ala minute so that it will be kept hot or serve on the self-service table with warmer.
A new plate with small spoons should be serve during dessert time.
Good food, good service.
The appetizer, mains and desserts (love the poached pear) is awesome. Ben the waiter is very attentive and passionate. Very good service.
Afternoon tea
We had a wonderful time. The food was beautifully presented on a two tiered cake stand. The portions were dainty, but just the right amount. Everything tasted good. The flavours were spot on. It was a hit.
Did not meet our expectations
Read some rave feedback online and thought this was worth a try. Ended up, those that we wanted was not available - beef, and salmon, it were replaced with some other type of salmon.
Didn't know also that they changed menu regularly, so those dishes we saw online were no longer available - pretty disappointing. Lacklustre range of desserts so we ended up leaving for some dessert elsewhere.
Dinner at Saveur Art
My date & I enjoyed ourselves last night.
Service were very atttentive & polite. So thumbs up! :)
The only disappointment was maybe the Chocolate pistachio for dessert
It did nt really impress and i felt the portion was small.
The pear was wonderful! Overall, I'd say it was a great experience. Would recommend others to dine here too. Price of menu was good for value as well.
Cheers,
Ron
Food wasnt good.
We had the Saveur Pasta, Foie Gras, whole putter poached lobster and Duck leg. The pasta was pretty cold, foie gras and lobster was decent but the duck leg was too salty. Service was fine.
Fantastic meal
We had a lovely meal and our food was very well prepared. Service was prompt and courteous too. If there's something that could be improved on, it would be observing etiquette when serving food. There were quite a few instances where the server stretched across the table to place our cutlery or to top up our water. The right way would have been to head over to the side of the table to serve. But other than that - no complaints! Will be back again.
Sorely Disappointed
No hint of truffle in egg confit even though it was stated in the menu. Waitress removed unfinished dish without even bothering to ask if i was done or even glance in my direction for acknowledgement. She just picked it up on her way to the kitchen. The only reason I failed to flag her down in time was because I have juice making its way down my throat. Asked for medium well steak, what came was medium rare (actually closer to rare). It was overall, an upsetting experience.
Feedback
First time experience to Saveur Art. Good ambiance!
We have ordered the egg confit and saveur's pasta. They were generally good. The first round served pasta was under-cooked, glad this was replaced by a new one. We're satisfied with the services.
Pork belly was good, soft tender texture. We're disappointed with the Duck confit. It was overly dry and salty. It could be better if go together with mashed potatoes. Watercress sauce for salmon was too strong and little bitter taste.
Hope to see improvement during our next round visit :)
great effort!
Service was excellent, food was of great value.
I only found my crab salad and foie gras to be slightly
underseasoned. I felt that the extra addition of salt
could bring out the flavor more.
Other than that, everything was great! Would return!
Good first time
First time at Saveur Art last week and I love the food and service. The only feedback is that the ambient lights are too bright! Please consider dimming the lights more. It will feel even more fine dining :)
Saveur art
first of all I didn't like the food. The egg confit was like a local soft boil egg with added stuffs in it . And the lobster I had was not well cooked. Some parts was raw and chewy and I had trouble digesting the food after eating them . I had a bad tummy uncomfortable for the whole night and wants to vomit. I thk the cooking is too buttery, creamy. Not suitable for those with weak stomach.
Dining experience at Saveur Art
It's my third time in almost a month dining at Saveur Art and i must say i really love the friendly staff and excellent service here. I was lucky enough to have gotten a taste of the Roasted Pigeon Breast on my first experience and have truly fallen in love with it (bring it back on the menu please! Haha). The egg confit never fails to disappoint as well. :)
Good experience!
Really enjoyed both the food and the service. There was a little trouble though when the waiter kept spilling the wine but he was really sincere and friendly so that was fine for me. Very impressed with the manager who helped with some special arrangements. Overall very pleased with the experience.
Disappointing Meal
I have been to Saveur Far East and Purvis outlets previously and so I thought it would be a good idea to treat my friend to her birthday meal at Saveur Art. I told her beforehand that the portions were rather small from experience and there was not much choice on the menu but the food was good. Despite our expectations, when our food came, we were so thoroughly disappointed.
Sure, french cuisine is known for their small portions and if you were having the full course, small portions would make sense. But there we were, paying $20+ per main course and the portion was so ridiculously tiny. I felt so bad for my friend and for bringing her there for her birthday treat as she had ordered the fish and it wasn't even a "fillet" as what the server described. A more accurate description would be a couple of slices of fish with salad. My friend also added that the fish was not fresh. It looked and tasted more like an appetizer. My beef short rib was no better although it did taste good. After we finished, it felt like we had not even eaten anything.
Clearly the concept of Saveur Art is to offer a 'fine dining' experience to customers at not-so-exorbitant prices however our whole dining experience really felt like a joke and I couldn't help but feel really cheated. A full $50 for a dinner for two but the satisfaction was next to nil. No surprise we quickly left to go somewhere else for a proper dinner. We are not big eaters to even begin with and my friend usually cannot finish her own portion, however this really left us so unsatisfied. I felt from previous experiences at Saveur that the food was value for money because the standard was there. However at Saveur Art, the prices went up but the value, portion and standard went down. It was really such a disappointment.
Fantastic Dinner
I had a really nice dinner at saveur art, ion last evening. Food were fresh and absolutely delicious. Truly appreciate how the chef took pain to prepare every single dish, just like a piece of art!! Almost eating out of my plate..yes it was that good!! :) thumbs up and I will definitely be back for more. :)
A little disappointment
Dear Saveur Art,
Yesterday was a disappointing experience at saver art. Despite having 3 maitre'd. You are still inattentive on what goes into our plate (or doesn't come to our table). We were served one less amuse-bouche and the lobster was overcooked while the stuffed pasta was under. I'd come here again to try it one more time before I recommend it to any of my friends or bring anyone else here. Thank you.
Nice lunch and great service!
Set lunch menu was good and varied enough to give a few decent choices. Portions small and could be a bit bigger. However, service was fantastic woth attentive staff all happy to be working there. Venue nice too. Highly recommended.
Dinner on Boxing Day
Had dinner with a friend. Food was very nice plated and taste great. Ambience is good.
My only comment was the Egg Confit shouldn't be on the dinner menu. Leave the poached egg for breakfast. Added truffle oil does not change my opinion. Just my 2 cents.
I love the fish and braised ribs were good.
Very Lovely Christmas Lunch
I have dined a number of times at Saveur Purvis so I wanted to try Saveur Art for a change. I had booked online the night before Christmas for a Christmas day lunch by myself. Booking system worked a treat with immediate confirmation and was followed up with reminders. I was promptly seated and had my order taken. Food came promptly and it was delicious. The only thing i didn't like that much was main course, no fault of Saveur, just that from the choice of Chicken, Pork and Cod, all three wasn't my preferred choice of meat and i settled on the Cod. It tasted very nice though. Service staff was very friendly, attentive and prompt. Thoroughly pleased with that. I had accidentally left a shopping package behind after my meal and the hostess was so kind to call me to inform me of it and guess where I had my Christmas dinner ~ Saveur Purvis.....and a big plus...i looked across the table and saw a face i have not seen for 32 years, my old school classmate from Penang who happened to spend Christmas with the family in Singapore.
Good but portions could be bigger
Party of 5 adults and one toddler.
Arrived at 8.30pm, but was disappointed that 3 mains have sold out.
Had foie gras, pasta and egg confit for starters. Pasta and egg confit were good. Foie gras was however disappointing. It was cooked all the way through, rather than seared at the side and pink in the middle.
Settled for chicken n pork belly for mains, both were good however portions were small especially the pork belly which almost looked like half portions
Finished the meal with chocolate pistachio which was excellent. However, again portions were small.
All in all a good meal, however we have came during lunch before and not only is it cheaper then, but portions are also bigger.
Nice environment but not distinguished in its identity/targeted customer
Enjoyed the food (thanks for the complimentary), the service and the environment (rather classy). However, I noted some similar dish that can be found in the other Saveur branch in Bugis (like Angel hair pasta and duck confit) and price there is cheaper? Prob need to include more new dishes here to make it different from the other branches, or lower the price of common items.
good service and good food
The service was good and the staffs will always clear your plates automatically when you have finish your food. Staffs will always be there when you need any help and they know the food well as when my food is served they will explain to me what the food is and what ingredients etc. When my water is going to finish, they will refill for my automatically without me requested for it. The food portion is also bigger than saveur which was filling enough for me. Overall was good just that the seating arrangements was a bit too close as other customers beside each other will able to hear the conversations.
dinner at saveur art
Hi,
I had dinner at saveur art with my girlfriends recently. The food was presented so prettily and it tasted awesome. The two complimentary dishes also came as a pleasant surprise. Thank you saveur art for the wonderful meal. Ps. Service was also quite pleasant.
V. Good Dinner
Had the degustation and a bottle of the Bernard Baudry Chinon. All excellent across the board.
Service was attentive despite a full house although not every course came with an explanation and introduction to the dish.
Food was well executed and the slivers of briney olive was a very nice touch for the cod dish. That being said (my personal preference and opinion) perhaps the 'airs' and 'foams' were a bit overused as they were present in many dishes.
Ambiance was pleasant despite being crowded. I did find it weird that halfway through the dinner one of the lights in the ceiling above our table was turned on making it brighter than the original dimmer ambiance. It wasn't 'bad' but it was just 'surprising'. We sat at the table nearest to the kitchen counter (inside was the drinks chiller and coffee machine).
Overall very enjoyable and would definitely revisit and recommend.

Review of Food
Egg Confit & Truffle - 6/10 - ordinary tasting
Duck Leg Confit - 6/10 - the duck was quite dry and we didn't like the barley risotto
Mangalica Pork in 2 ways - 10/10 - this is awesome.. presentation & taste .. we will order this again.
